Key activity
A key activity of the EDC is to provide linkage between industrialists and academics. This is a process which has benefits for both groups, on the one hand industrialists get access to the UK's academic network and get cost effective research and on the other academics get real problems to apply their research to.
Research links
As the above diagram shows, the EDC forms a cross faculty focal point between industry and university schools.
This also highlights the Research Network formed as part of the MSc in Major Project Management. The Research Network associated with this, mirrors the generic business of the EDC creating centres of excellence so research can respond and provide solutions to the needs of industry .
