Associate Director

Professor Pratyush Sen is an associate director of the EDC. He holds a chair in Marine Design Construction within the School of Marine Science and Technology.

Research Interests

Professor Sen has many research interests, including:

• Design synthesis tools, in particular the use of multiple criteria decision making (MCDM)techniques.
• Formal safety assessment and risk evaluation / optimisation.
• Evolutionary algorithms in design and manufacture.
• Quantitative analysis of marine transport systems.
• Scheduling of design and manufacturing tasks.
• Dependabilty of design routes.
