Representing emergent properties
Representing the emergent properties of a complex system
Emergent properties
The above graphic shows a complex platform, which can be represented by an integrated modelling environment. The low level properties are inputs into this complex system and generate high level emergent properties such as performance, stability, control, cost and aerodynamics.
By representing systems within an integrated modelling environment, the properties which emerge from the system can be simulated and predicted. By varying low level property values, their effect and sensitivity on emergent properties can be determined.
